Design / Mechanical / Additive Engineer (March 2023)
Metron is recruiting for a strong and versatile Design / Mechanical Engineer with, preferably with highperformance bicycle design experience (or willingness to learn), natural problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude. The primary occupation of the engineer will be the design of bicycle parts (frames, forks, handlebars, wheels, etc.) using 3D CAD and FEA. Understanding of aerodynamics will be an advantage. Projects will also include other areas of engineering design. As most of the designs will either be made using composites or 3D Printed titanium and/or aluminium, strong stress analysis skills (composites and metal) will be an asset. The successful candidate must be hard-working, methodical, and imaginative, apply logic and intuition to achieve the best solution within a given time and budget. This is a great opportunity to get involved with the design of some of the world’s most advanced cycling parts as well as gain experience in metal 3D Printing and other high-end engineering projects.
